After WWII, the late Textile Engineer Frank Mussel came to establish his footprint in the wool industry. In 1946, he founded Walmart Mussel Co. together with his uncle Mr. John Hosey, originally engaged solely in the export of greasy wool.
Passionate about the wool fibre and motivated by its promising development, Frank encouraged the expansion into producing wool tops, which they successfully achieved in 1951. Both families carried a long wool-textile tradition, having previously worked at Energetic Worsted Corp. in Philadelphia, USA.
In 1983, the company became 100% owned by Mr. Frank Mussel. Today, this rich legacy continues as the company is managed by his son, Frank Joseph Mussel, who has been in topmaking for over 40 years.
